Teepaitoja

Halusin tehdä meidän lapsille "samistelupaidat" kesään, niin että jokainen saisi samasta kankaasta eri värisen version. Lapset saivat valita itse haluamansa värit sekä kankaista että resoreista, minä sitten valitsin jäljelle jääneistä vaihtoehdoista vauvalle haluamani värin. (Itselle muistiin että tein koot 68, 110, 122cm) Näin iloisilla väreillä valmistaudumme siis kesään, säätiedotteen mukaan ensimmäinen hellepäivä saattaa tulla jo torstaina. Jee!

I wanted to make some matching shirts for the kids for summer so that everyone would get a different-colored version of the same fabrics. The kids got to pick the colors and the ribbing themselves and I chose the color for the baby from whatever was left over. These bright, happy colors prepare us for summer; the weather forecast says the first really warm day (over +25C) could already be this Thursday. Yay!

Hameasu / Skirt outfit

Tyttö toivoi vaatevalikoimaansa lisää hameita ja esimmäisen hameen tein tällaisella yksinkertaisella perusmallilla. En oikein osannut päättää saako hame kaverikseen punaisen vai valkoisen paidan, niinpä tein molemmat. Luonnonvalkoinen olisi kyllä ollut kivoin, mutta olen luvannut itselleni etten osta uusia kankaita ennen kuin muutama edellinen on käytetty loppuun! ;)

My daughter hoped for more skirts, and I made the first one with a simple basic pattern. I couldn't really decide whether it would be nicer with a white or a red shirt, so I made both. Off-white would've been the best, but I have promised to myself not to buy more fabrics before at least a few of the old ones have been used up!
