I wanted to try an elastic binding for the neck and cuffs - and I was very pleased with the end result! It wasn't at all difficult to apply, and the small red details nicely cheer up the otherwise simple colors. The shirt pattern had cuff and hem gatherings as nice finishing touches. The fabric was of great quality; our four-year-old was impressed by the thin glimmering lurex-strips whereas I fell in love with the unbelievably smooth inside. :)
Another completed shirt is a basic skivvy. For some reason this fabric was absolutely dreadful to sew - afterwards, I had to double-check from Jofotex's site that it really was cotton fabric, and so it claims it is... It was somehow annoyingly droopy, and I was convinced I had mistakenly ordered rayon blend, but after some fighting I got the shirt ready. The purple colors look very good on our blond girl.
