Tytölle juhlamekko - Special occassion dress

Tyttö halusi juhlamekkonsa kiiltelevästä tekokuitukankaasta ja pakkohan se oli suostua kun väristäkin päästiin pienen neuvottelun jälkeen yksimielisyyteen. Kaavan mekkoon piirsin itse ja mekon vuorittamiseksi seurasin Tosimummon vuoritetun mekon ohjetta. Kiitos hyvästä ohjeesta! :) On kyllä tunnustettava että tuollainen liukas ja reunoista rispaantuva tekokuitukangas (sekä mekossa että vuorissa) ei ollut kovin mukavaa ommeltavaa, mutta olihan se ihan kivaa vaihtelua puuvillalle ja mekosta tuli oikein juhlavan näköinen.

Our girl wanted some shiny synthetic fabric for her dress, and of course I had to consent when we were even able to agree on the color after a short negotiation. I drew the pattern myself and followed Tosimummo's instructions for doing the lining. Thanks for the good directions! :) I have to admit that a slippery synthetic fabric (both in the dress and the lining) that frays easily from the edges was not a very pleasant material to handle, but it was nice variation to cotton - and the dress turned out very festive.
